Our Story
Hi, I'm Fleur and I’m so glad you’ve found us at My Kind Of Day!
I would like to share a little bit about myself and our story…
I have been working in the care industry for the past five years, with roles including Activities Coordinator in care homes and Club Manager at a day club supporting individuals living with dementia.
Prior to working in the care industry, I worked in the live music and event industry. This was such an amazing experience and during this time I worked with many artists and worked at lots of festivals too!

Ever since I was a young child I spent time socialising with different generations and grew up living with my Mum, Grandparents, Great-Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles and Brother altogether! I love spending time with my family and it’s where my passion for working in care has grown from.
I have had the privilege of supporting many individuals and their families throughout my time in the care industry and since the very start, I have been passionate about tailoring activities and companionship to best suit each person, ensuring every experience is meaningful, engaging and truly special.
Just because someone may be experiencing lifestyle changes, a medical diagnosis or variations in their health needs doesn’t mean they should face missing out on the things that they enjoy most. I strongly believe that there is always a way for an individual to achieve what they wish and I pride myself in being creative in making this happen, in the best way possible.
One of the favourite parts of my work is sharing stories and finding creative ways to incorporate past experiences and fond memories into activity sessions.
Aside from work, I love getting creative and can happily spend hours crafting, dressmaking and baking too! I really enjoy attending live music events as well. I have a super sweet golden retriever called Dudley - you'll often find us heading to the coast for a walk on the beach whenever we can!
My ethos is to bring inclusivity, kindness, humour and fun to everything we do and everyone we support.
The name My Kind Of Day truly summarises what we do – our aim is to support individuals to spend their time doing what they would like to do, focusing on activities, hobbies, feelings, emotions and the things most important to them.
Our companionship visits, activity workshops and community exercise classes are all created with each individual in mind. We want to ensure each person feels happy, safe and empowered throughout our visits and sessions.
